"Japa" originates from a Yoruba ethnic dialect in Nigeria which means to escape or flee with a purpose. In recent years the concept is often used to describe the entrepreneur spirit of Nigerians with their human capacity looking for greener economies abroad.
When they say "I don japa" it ordinarily means "I've migrated to another country". This ideology was developed by majority of the youths since employment opportunities are few. Those with Japa spirit believe that their talent and skill capacity shouldn't be wasted without implementing it into a system.
Nigerians, majority of youths are spreading on continents with their human capacities. They hustle (their description of hard work) wherever they are on the planet. That is the major source of fear for some coworkers anywhere they go.
Nigerians do not have timid approach to work, they will struggle to get it done.
Nigerians are very sensitive to abuses like racism, hate speech and more. If you're a boss and you want the best out of your Nigerian employer, don't abuse his race.
Nigerians are hospitable and can welcome you with a smile.
